📌 Indications:

Lenvanix (Lenvatinib) is indicated for the treatment of:

• Differentiated Thyroid Cancer (DTC) that is refractory to radioactive iodine (RAI) therapy

• Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) in combination with everolimus

• Unresectable Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC)

• Endometrial Carcinoma (in combination with pembrolizumab) in certain cases

💊 Pharmacology:

Lenvatinib is a multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor that blocks the activity of various receptors involved in tumor growth and angiogenesis, including:

• VEGFR1, VEGFR2, VEGFR3 (vascular endothelial growth factor receptors)

• FGFR1-4 (fibroblast growth factor receptors)

• PDGFRα (platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha)

• RET and KIT proto-oncogenes

By inhibiting these pathways, Lenvanix:

• Reduces blood vessel formation in tumors (anti-angiogenesis)

• Slows tumor cell proliferation

• Promotes cancer cell death

💉 Dosage & Administration:

• DTC: 24 mg orally once daily (as two 10 mg + one 4 mg capsules)

• RCC (with everolimus): 18 mg once daily

• HCC: 8 mg once daily for body weight <60 kg; 12 mg once daily for ≥60 kg

• Capsules should be swallowed whole with water, with or without food

• Dose adjustments may be required for toxicity

⚠️ Precautions & Warnings:

• Monitor blood pressure regularly (risk of hypertension)

• Watch for hepatic and renal impairment

• Increased risk of bleeding and thromboembolic events

• May cause proteinuria – check urine protein periodically

• Risk of QT prolongation – ECG monitoring may be required

• Hypersensitivity to Lenvatinib or any component of the formulation
