Indications:

Fruquin (Fruquintinib 5 mg) is indicated for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) in patients who have previously received standard therapies such as fluoropyrimidine, oxaliplatin, irinotecan-based chemotherapy, anti-VEGF therapy, and anti-EGFR therapy (if applicable).
It may also be used in other VEGFR-dependent solid tumors as advised by an oncologist.

💊 Pharmacology:

Fruquintinib is a highly selective and potent small-molecule inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR–1, VEGFR–2, and VEGFR–3).
By blocking these receptors, Fruquin helps:

• Inhibit tumor angiogenesis

• Reduce tumor blood supply

• Slow down cancer cell growth

• Improve progression-free survival in advanced cancers

The drug offers strong target selectivity with minimal off-target effects.

💉 Dosage & Administration:

• Recommended dose: 5 mg once daily

• Dosing schedule: Take for 21 consecutive days, followed by 7 days off (28-day treatment cycle)

• Swallow capsules whole with water

• May be taken with or without food

• Dose adjustments may be required based on tolerance and side effects

• Monitor blood pressure, liver function, and kidney profile regularly

• Increased risk of bleeding, hypertension, and proteinuria
