📌 Indications:

Cabozanix (Cabozantinib) is indicated for the treatment of the following cancers:

• Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC)

• Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) in patients previously treated with sorafenib

• Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma (MTC), progressive and metastatic

• Differentiated Thyroid Cancer (DTC), refractory to radioactive iodine therapy

💊 Pharmacology:

Cabozantinib is a multi-kinase inhibitor that targets several tyrosine kinases involved in tumor growth and angiogenesis, including VEGFR, MET, RET, AXL, KIT, and FLT3. It works by inhibiting pathways critical for cancer cell proliferation, survival, invasion, and metastasis.

💉 Dosage & Administration:

• The dosage varies depending on the type of cancer.

• Typically administered orally once daily on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating).

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Common starting doses:

  • RCC/HCC: 60 mg once daily

  • MTC: 140 mg daily (using combinations of different strengths as prescribed)

• Cabozanix 20 mg is often used in dose titration or combination with other strengths for customized dosing.

• Monitor for hypertension, GI perforations, and hemorrhage
