📌 Indication:

Axinix (Axitinib) is indicated for the treatment of:

• Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC)
  Especially used in patients who have failed prior systemic therapy.

💊 Pharmacology:

Axitinib is a potent and selective second-generation inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1, 2, and 3). It blocks the angiogenesis process by preventing blood supply to cancer cells, ultimately restricting tumor growth and metastasis.

🔄 Dosage & Administration:

• Starting Dose: 5 mg orally twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart.

• Can be taken with or without food.

• Dose adjustment may be necessary based on tolerability and side effects.

❌ Contraindications:

• Known hypersensitivity to Axitinib or any component of the formulation.

⚠️ Warnings & Precautions:

• Monitor for hypertension, thyroid dysfunction, arterial/venous thromboembolic events, and gastrointestinal perforation.

• Liver function and proteinuria should also be monitored regularly.
